As we continue to grow, we need to expand our team; we're looking for enthusiastic, child-oriented, and creative individual, to support the school’s administration office. This position reports directly to the Director of Education.
We're Seeking:
• Dynamic Individual: to be a part of our team and support our Religious School Educator and students.
• Experienced Guides: Must be organized, have office, computer, and social media skills. Prior experience in Jewish setting preferred. We're seeking an individual who is creative, people friendly, has some basic Judaic knowledge, and can work flexible hours.
• Tech-Savvy Individuals: Basic computer skills are necessary in our interactive learning environment. Your ability to integrate technology in our communications and the day-to-day operation is essential.
• Flexible Team Players: Availability in person on Thursday afternoons for Hebrew School, and Sunday mornings for Religious School is a must. With an option for 10 additional remote hours from the comfort of your home. We value collaboration and flexibility in our commitment to education and each other.
Position Details:
• Hours: Anticipate an average of 10-12 hours in person, per week, centered around our Hebrew School sessions on Thursdays and Religious School on Sundays*. Additional hours can be worked remotely. *Must be able to work in person.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Fills in for the Director of Education as needed and at their direction
• Interacts with students, staff and parents.
• Handles the collection and disposition of money from parents/staff.
• Maintains, updates and files records and religious school paperwork.
• Coordinates mailings, e-blasts and other communications connected to Hebrew and Religious school, teaching staff, and families.
• Orders office supplies and other materials as needed.
• Prepares and coordinates distribution of potential new student packets and materials.
• Coordinates events with Director of Education. Creates flyers for events using various software programs including but not limited to Power point, Publisher, Canva etc.
• Participates in Hebrew and Religious school staff meetings and takes notes.
• Assists with planning and implementing staff appreciation events.
• Provides technical support as needed.
• Manages special projects at the direction of the Director of Education.
• Other tasks as needed and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer some college education, however experience can substitute.
• Excellent computer skills: use of Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google docs, etc. and other social media.
• Ability to work with people of all ages. We are seeking an individual who is creative, people friendly, has some basic Judaic knowledge, and reliable.
• Flexible schedule required including some weekends and evenings.
• Ability to multi task.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Jewish religion, observances, and culture.
